Q: How long is the average visit?
A: Your adventure is self-guided.  Most guests spend between two and three hours visiting with our animals and the enjoying the grounds.

Q: Can I leave the zoo and come back today?
A: Sure, just hang on to your receipt or get your hand stamped in the gift shop before you leave.  Your admission is good all day.

 Q: Can I exchange my 1-day admission for a membership?
A: You can apply your one-day admission to a membership if you purchase the membership on the same day you purchased your admission.

Q: Can I bring my own food into the Zoo?
A: The CWPZoo Safari Cafe is normally open from Memorial day to Labor Day, however, you may opt to bring your lunches and/or snacks into the Zoo.  Thank you for not sharing your food with the animals.  They are on regulated diets.

Q: Do I need to reserve my Safari Ride in advance?
A: During the week, it’s typically not necessary.  However, on the weekends, you might want to do so with your name, phone number and a credit card by calling the Gift Shop at 301-271-4922.

Q: How long does the Safari Ride last?
A: About 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on how long the truck stays in each area and how many animals approach the vehicle.
