Hours & Admission
Catoctin Wildlife Preserve and Zoo is open seasonally each year, with hours changing as warm summer weather allows more and more of our exotic animals to enjoy Maryland’s outdoor environment.
March: Weather Permitting, 10-4, last admission at 3 pmApril: Daily, 10 am – 5 pm Memorial Day through Labor Day: Daily, 9 am -6 pm September: Daily, 9 am – 5 pm
October: Daily, 10 am – 5 pm November: Weekends only Weather Permitting, 10 am – 4 pm, last admit at 3 pm. December-February: Closed for the Season.

- Our Shows are fun, lively adventures with lots of opportunities to learn about and touch selected animals.
- Encounters are special times when you can get closer to a safe animal, learn inside facts about our big favorites or feed an animal a special snack.
- These visits are hosted by trained volunteers, education or animal care staff, giving you a variety of information and viewpoints.
